A8547..........G8NQP..........G9BVN..........G4RLF

I was originally introduced to Amateur Radio by G2FIX in 1970.

I joined the Salisbury Short Wave Club, which had a wealth of history, being formed by
Sir Oliver Lodge in 1920, this fuelled my interest in vintage communications.

Joining the RSGB I became A8547.
As keen SWL I collected many awards and contest certificates.

When I was old enough I took the RAE and obtained G8NQP, being active on 144mhz SSB DX.

Despite being able to read CW , I did not take my class A, until the early 80,s becoming G4RLF.

During the 80's I also held G9BVM which was a radio development callsign for out of band use.

Over the years I have been active in promoting the hobby, giving lectures and demonstrations.
